[RL] Moving on up to Ba Sing Se.
Sokka was twelve different kinds of excited; he thought his face might explode before she even got here. But he did his best to compose himself, brushing a hand back over his hair. It had felt strange to shave it after so long living in the Fire Nation, but nice too; like coming home. And with his father stationed here in town, and Katara staying for the moment, he even allowed himself to think of it that way. And now with Yue and Aang, it only completed the picture, making his heart tighten even as its steady beat quickened. He couldn't move from this spot, uncharacteristically and rigidly still as he waited.
Maybe he would work up the courage to ask Yue if he was her boyfriend tonight. And maybe wolfpigs would fly. He sighed, enjoying the cool Summer breeze even as it made him pensive. The Community had made Zuko forget, and though this world still had him they couldn't share him, and it made Sokka sad. If it made Yue forget, he just wasn't sure what he would do. It had taken her from him once, a cruelty he had been willing to overlook by her timely reappearance, but the questions still hung in the air. The world had taken her away twice now, and he couldn't bear the thought of a third.
This was going to be a great month, though. Jane had organized this beach party with Aang so they wouldn't get any more viruses, and they were hosting and things were starting to feel right again. Peter was even coming, despite all he'd been through. He wanted to share Yue with all his friends, and share alike everything with her. The feeling so consumed him, he was sure his heart would burst in his chest. He had felt it the moment he laid eyes on her, and he came to know it by the Earth colloquialism "love at first sight." Nothing else fully captured its instantaneousness.
And so he waited, heartbeat thundering, looking to the sky for one glimmer of her arrival.

She cleared her throat a little; the sight of him was enough to bring her usual grin to her face. It was all real now, they'd finally get to be together after everything that had happened. It made her heart pound, loudly, but it didn't stop her from almost tackling him in an embrace.
With her face in his shirt and her arms tight around his waist, she closed her eyes and leaned on him.
"I've missed you."

He hugged her back tightly without even having to think, breathing her in as his hand came up to rest lightly on her hair. With her smell, came all of the North Pole and it was almost too much to take in all at once, but it didn't stop him from trying.
"..I missed you more." Childish, but effective.

"I don't think so." She slipped on arm forward to playfully tap his nose with her finger. It only took a few seconds for her to wrap her arms back around him.
"It's really warm here."

But then Sokka was in movement again, piling on her bags for the short walk back to the house and darting out to take her hand. "Come on, I want to show you the city."
